December 16th, 2012 "Just One Last Time"

Having lots of short work weeks due to clearing our off in lieu and leaves this month. Enjoying every single bit of it everyday i am outside camp. Booked out on Wednesday night due to 1 Guards Recruitment on Thursday morning. Waited for S to get off work then we grabbed dinner and watched Step Up at home on Wednesday night till she had to go home since she has work the next day. So slept in on Thursday until S got off work then we spent a little more time with each other before I had to book in that evening since I had guard duty on Friday. After finished my duty on Saturday morning, went back home got some rest then met up Sin to buy our bus tickets to KL finally! So it's confirmed December 19th-22nd with the 6 boys, me, Sin, Szeto, Stanley, Daryl and Guansan! Damn exited for the trip, gonna take this 4D3N to chill out, spend some good time with the bros and probably do some shopping! Anyways, after meeting up with Sin, booked a movie for me and S at town then went to fetch S from work. Well she ended up getting off work a bit later then usual due to not enough man power at work so we missed our movie but its okay, it's just a movie really but I kept teasing her for missing the movie anyways cause seeing her reaction was damn cute haha. Anyways, we grabbed dinner at PS Manhattan Fish Market, even though I don't like to eat fish, but once in a while its not too bad. At dinner, she mom was messaging her, asking her why dont she date more guys when so she can choose which guy to pick and from the looks of it, looks like her mother don't really like me right now. Well the thing is that she don't know me yet. I believe once her mother get to know who I am, she will know that her daughter is in good hands. I will prove to her that I am a good man and will take good care of her daughter, I can promise her that. After dinner we walked to Cine since she wanted to do a little shopping at H&M, my crazy shopper girl haha then headed back home and watched Twilight New Moon together before we fall asleep. Nights like these are the ones that I really treasure. Clubbing and drinking gets tiring after a while, and i was always that stay home and cuddle type of guy anyways. We woke up in the morning since she had to go for work, then I went back to sleep till the late afternoon and accidentally overslept. Didn't get a chance to Skype mom for 2 weeks now. Went to run some errands after I woke up and waited for S to get off work :) Grabbed dinner at Ajisen IMM together then went home and watch half of The Notebook! The movie never gets old, hits my soft spot every single time. Before I booked in had an heart to heart talk with S, and honestly I'm glad that she came to my life. I really hope that in time she will be the one for me. Just gonna take things slow for now, don't wanna rush into anything too fast. I want to make sure that I will fall in love for the right reasons with her and hope that we can have a real future and grow old together. Im dead serious about wanting to be with this girl. Dont want to waste anymore time on the wrong person. Only time will tell now.

December 9th, 2012 "Busy December.. "

Another week passes by, less than 9 more months til I finish my service in army. Really starting to think my life through now since time is running out soon. Well it was a short work week to begin with since I cleared most of my offs. Booked out on Wednesday after nights out, went home and waited for S to get off work then we went to met up Szeto and Sin and head to Zouk for ladies night! Basically spent the whole Thursday sleeping in and waiting for S to get off work, when she got off work we got dinner together and chill over at my place. Friday was my recovery day, run all my errands, chill at home, blogged and catch up on my tv shows then Saturday was the main event of the week, it was Joelyn's 21st birthday celebration. We went to Zirca for Spread Love with her groupie and Sin. Well I cant really say it was a great night cause things didnt go as planned, wasted time outside trying to figure out what to do most of the time. Luckily had Sin and S accompany me and to make that a fun night. Seeing Sin spitting at random people, taking people's bottles and beer and stuff haha. In a way we all need this kind of people around us to make us laugh when you need someone to be there. Ended up linking up with Ray's group too with Linus, Jon, Ben, and Zef at Zirca that night. So actually it didnt turn out to be that bad of a night afterall :) After the club, had a heart to heart talk with S back at home until the morning then she fell asleep in my arms. I woke up around noon the next day to run some errands, bought S KOI and breakfast while she was still sleeping, got home and turn on Skype to wait for mommy to call then went back to sleep next to S. Spent the day with her before she had to go for dinner with her family then I prepared myself for to book in. Well that's the sort of a brief of my week. Looking at my schedule this month, December is gonna be a semi-packed month definitely. Having my batallion annual leave from Dec. 19th- Jan. 2nd, and really looking forward for my KL trip with the boys, Sin & Szeto on 19th-22nd of December. Nothing crazy planned, just need a getaway and chill the fuck out with the boys for a couple days. After coming back from KL, will be busy settling stuff for the new house. Need to go to PUB and housing development board to change everything under my name, and hopefully everything goes as planned can start to move in after Christmas! :) After that its all about furniture shopping and redesigning my new home. Really looking forward to have my own house back! One more month till a new year, a new year means a new start.

What a weekend, where to begin really haha. Well lets start with Friday, November 30th. Was feeling a bit down at home, so went over to Szeto's house, chilled with him and Michelle until they started work. Then decided to go out grab a drink or two at Winebar by myself but then luckily had some company to join me, Ray, Yao Jun, Aloysius, Joelyn and Sharalyn and 2 of their friends! :) At first we started drinking outside, 2 bottles of Jager & half an bottle of Skyy Vodka for 8 people. After that they went to Winebar drink some more, then drink more at Phuture.. Hectic night at Zouk I tell ya, almost everyone was a little too much to drink but luckily I was the sober one as usual taking care of people haha. Guest DJ's R3HAB & Mitch Crown was in the house that night, guest dj's are as awesome as always! Definitely a night that I wont forget :) .. Anyways, December 1st was Wendy's 21st celebration at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Another awesome night, another drink, drank, drunk type of night. Started drinking in the hotel room, met some new people, all kinds of people actually from businessmen to army regulars. Spend some quality time with two of closest friend Kelvin and Quanman and finally went to Skypark after wanting to go for the longest time! The view up there is truly breath taking, Singapore is really such a beautiful country if you really think about it. I'm really gonna miss here after NS. Towards midnight, we hit the club, Club Avalon at MBS. Well the truth was that I wasnt really digging the music and the crowd there but I did drank like a madman that night though. It felt like as in there were free flow of Champagne & Martel all night long, my glass was never empty haha. After the club, we went back to the hotel room, drank some more since there was half a cannon left of Martell leftover with those crazy ADF fellas. Made us all drink like it was water. Anyways, ended up chilling in the hotel room until 8-9 in the morning since we couldnt get a cab home due to the Standard Charted Marathon that was going on that morning. Went home, got about 2 hours of rest then had to wake up to Skype my mommy to talk about some important stuff. After sorting out some stuff with mom, went back to taking a nap and waited for S to get off work and grabbed dinner together before I had to book in :)

Anyways I have some great news to announce! Finally after about two and a half - three years of renting a room in Singapore. Im finally getting my Lakeside house back finally! Woohoo! It's about fucking time. Well the housing development board realized that my house have been renting out to people for over 10 years+ and we have actually live in the house for only about 2 years. So they basically said that in order for me to keep renting the house out, I have to personally stay there for another 3 years. The law in Singapore is that before you can rent or sell your house you must stay in your house for a minimal of 5 years. Well in a way it's good news for now, since I can finally have my own house back but in a way its more headaches for me, more bills to pay, more things to worry for, another thing is that after army in September, I have no idea what to do with the house at the moment since when I return back to US we couldnt rent out the unit anymore until I live there for a total of 5 years.. Headache headaches. Oh well not trying to think too much about it at the moment, just gonna go with the flow for now and just be happy that I got my own house back finally. Worry more about it prior to ORD and hopefully come up with a plan by then. Well I really cant wait to move in, and redesign the whole house to my own comfort just the way I like it, buy new furniture, new electronics and stuff to make it more of a home to me since the last three years living in Singapore I didnt feel like I had a home. Well enough about the house, anyways I have another good news from back in the states. Parents finally bought a new restaurant, well bought over someone's else business in Denver officially starting from December 15th. A chinese-thai cuisine near 6th & Broadway. "Hoong's Gate Asian Grill" What a cheesy fucking name, its such a typical chinese restaurant name. Oh well from what my parents told me, the business in the past is not bad, and its an established name in the community, especially delivery wise. Lets just hope that business is good, so once I get back to the states I can help them out with the restaurant so my parents can have their early retirement. Anyways its about time for my turn to work my ass off, im ready to give everything I got on the business, work hard now, enjoy my life later. Who knows, maybe if business is outstanding, maybe open my own outlet and name it Penang or so! Haha. Thinking too far again, we'll see how things go. Realized that im sort of putting my life at pause at the moment due to army, and also thinking about it, time is really flying, 9 more months til im done with my service in the army. It's gonna go past so fast, before I know it I will be in the plane back to the states! :) On the real though really looking forward to the next 9 months in Singapore, gonna keep myself happy in the meantime, do the things I need to do before going back to US and working 7 days a week to make that money!

Late night meal during Guard Duty

Nothing much really happened this weekend due to guard duty. Weekend was like totally burnt, two guard duties this weekend due to not enough man power in the platoon and how 50% of the duties in the Battalion is being pushed to Support Coy. By right we should of booked out on Thursday as a reward of good performance and winning the best combat proficient company in ATEC 1 but I had guard duty on Thursday. So after a long night of duty with GuanSan, finally went for my tattoo appointment on Friday morning at Wilson's shop! :) Finally gotten my swallow tattoo after planning it for so long. Although it might not blend in well with the dragon and koi for now but once I slowly add on to my sleeve, hopefully it will look awesome. Well the reason I got the swallow inked is mainly of "love", since I got the word love inked on my left arm I realized I needed something to represent love too since I had the koi for luck, and dragon for inner strength. Hopefully the love bird will bring "the one" to me one day haha. Well planning to get another swallow inked on the other side since it looks nicer as a pair. Next projects will probably be a rose in the elbow, the quote "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday", then follow by the Guards logo with Recon tab! A handful of pain ahead of me for sure! Well never club this weekend due to letting the new ink recover properly so just went to watch a late night movie with Sin on Friday night, yes just us 2 guys, a bromance date for sure. We watched the movie Argo. Damn suspenseful I tell you! It's about the 6 American that was held hostage in Iran and how they manage to snuck them back to the states without getting caught. Awesome movie that was based on a true story. After the movie we went to eat supper at Spize at River Valley, wanted to pick up Szeto from work and discuss about the KL trip but he took forever so we just left. Woke up the next morning, had lunch with Sin then chilled with Szeto and Michelle before they had to go to work. Then booked in back on Saturday night due to guard duty on Sunday. What a boring weekend, well at least got a new ink so thats something interesting that happened at least. Anyways damn lucky that both days of duties Thursday and Sunday was appointed as prowler for guard duty instead of sentry so time was passing by much faster. Thank god! Well another week passes by, hopefully next week will be an interesting one. Good night world! :)

November 16th, 2012 "Live My Life, No Matter What We Party Tonight.."

Really not my week this week in camp, one after another shit just keep on happening to me. When booked in on Tuesday night, had to bring my jeep out to pump petrol, after pumping petrol, the jeep couldn't start, end up stuck at the gas station for 3 hours when I have outfield the next morning. Then in outfield, the second day of BME, our fatigue level as Scouts Drivers were damn low, we didn't even manage to get any rest, end up I fell asleep while driving, and shit happened.. Next thing I know when we return to camp, a vehicle had a Signal set antenna that is signed out under my name, but it wasn't my vehicle, and the driver lost it. That's not it, after declarations and sending all our rounds back after outfield, there was a bag of 7.62's unexpended rounds in the passenger seat in MY jeep! Out of so many jeeps, it had to be my jeep, when we clearly check the night before and it wasn't there! Sigh and the last fucked up thing that happened is that Yong Qin lost his S3, it was in his locker but when he came back from outfield it was gone. Next thing we know company stand by universe, and of course I had to have "amaran" cigarette in my locker. Out of the whole company almost 90% of us smoke amaran, but only 2 people got busted and one of them had to be me! Just not my week seriously! Felt so much relived after I booked out! Anyways enough about the fucked up week in camp, lets talk about the weekend cause I had a kick ass weekend I tell ya! It all started out with guest DJ Nicky Romero, the Top 16 DJ in the world at the top 5 club in the world, Zouk! On Friday night, Went to Zouk with Ray, Ben and Pin Wen. Was at Phuture half of the time since Romero haven't arrived and the music at Phuture that night was quite good, then we went to Zouk for romero's set! Fucking eargasm I tell you, made me felt like I was back in Denver's rave! He got the whole crowd jumping like hell! Awesome awesome night! Practically slept the whole day on Saturday then prepare to head to Zouk for round 2 again on Saturday night. Met up with Joelyn for dinner, caught up with her then met up with her friend Erwin, 3 people drank a bottle of Black Label, made me hangover max! Then met up with Aloysius, his cousin and friends and went to Phuture for the night! Then about 3+ Szeto came and join us then we went to Mink after! It was my first time going to Mink, I always thought that Mink is this high class club, but I still prefer Zouk although the crowd there is better. Surprisingly I know quite a lot of people there, even run into my cousin's best friend Wilson! Haha. After Mink, me, Szeto, Rachel and Jia Qi went to 126 for breakfast! Also my first time going to 126 after hearing so much about it, honestly I feel that the food is quite normal, not sure what's all hype about or maybe I was in my hangover state. Anyway, slept through my whole Sunday afternoon again, woke up, grab some lunch, blogged then prepare to book in again! Anyways, next week should be getting my new ink, the swallow, finally. November 9th, 2012 "Bromance .."

Pay day this weekend, that means party party party! On Friday night went to Thai Disco at Golden Mile drank with the cousin and his friend Seng, crazy fella I tell you! 3 guys drink 3 tower of beer, first time in my life beer until damn tipsy. Tried to save money for Bangkok trip but damn impossible seriously, keep buying tequila shots for the siam bu haha. After Thai Disco, went to Geylang for supper, the best chicken rice in town .. After you are drunk! The next day, met up with the cousin, Wilson and their friends at town then went to watch Ah Boys To Men! Damn awesome movie, especially the fact that I can relate to everything in the movie! After dinner, we grab dinner at Bugis then I headed off to Zouk with Pin Wen, Stanley, Joelyn's group and Ray's group for my weekly clubbing session! Sound like a damn clubber now, every week also club! Oh wells, just gonna live my life and do my own thing, not gonna give 2 fucks of what people gonna think about me. On Sunday me and Sin went to Bugis for some retail therapy, actually not we, just Sin! Then met up with Quanman after dont know how long! Catch up with each other then went for body massage, damn shoik I tell you, especially after a long week of outfield! Monday night was Depavali Eve, so clubbing at Zirca with the original power house kids! Reunion with the group, Quanman, Sin, Pin Wen, Szeto, "Stanley" & me. Awesome night I tell you! It's not because the crowd or the music, it's this group! I love these guys, my true brothers! My first group of friends when I first came to Singapore about 3 years ago, they accepted me and took care of me like their own. Ain't nothing like a little bromance haha. Anyways went out with Sin again to town, then rushed back and prepared for book in. Rotation 3, BME this week! The last outfield of the year, do or die time! Lets go! Guardsman Reconnaissance!!

Just came back from Kuala Lumpur earlier on today. It's been a slow but lovely weekend with the family this week. Booked out on Wednesday since Rotation 3 is officially starting tomorrow and just had a public holiday for Hari Raya. Hit the club on Wednesday night at Zouk with half of the platoon since I won't be able to celebrate my Halloween weekend in Singapore. Basically drink, drank, dance, drunk! HAHA. I love my platoon seriously. I love what I do! My platoon mates are like the brothers that I never had, we always train hard but we definitely play harder! .. Anyways had to catch a morning bus to KL on Thursday morning straight after a long night of clubbing. After about a 5 hours bus ride, reached my condo at Miharja then spend the day chit chatting with the family around dinner time we went to Petaling Street to shop and I went to pick up my watch from repair then started to rain heavily so we didn't really get a chance to shop around Petaling Street that night, end up just grabbing dinner there at some famous Hokkien Mee Restaurant. After Petaling Street me, mom, dad and 2 of my aunts went to my other aunt Leeza's house to sleep over. Chit chat and sip some Whiskey with mommy until late night then we all went to sleep. Friday was shopping day, we started the day at Pavilion Mall then walk to Lot 10, Sungei Wang, then to Time Square. Bought myself 2 new korean style pants, new shoes (Vans) and a new phone casing for total of RM270.. On Saturday, mom and dad took the kids to Sunway Lagoon to play since they never went overseas before, seriously bring back lots of childhood memories I tell you! But on another note Sunway Lagoon fucking fail seriously, we basically wasted about RM1000 to go swimming, should of just went Genting instead especially since we were debating between Sunway or Genting the night before. Anyways, went to eat dinner at Viva that night, then seems like daddy drank a bit too much and will mommy's temper= chaos. Sometimes I seriously get my temper from them too. Sigh.. Well on the bright side, finally manage to get my long lost childhood friend in KL number, was planning to tell him to come out for a drink and catch up that night but he was busy with some farewell party, oh wells next time! After dinner we went back to Leeza's place to sleep then the following morning rode the bus back to Singapore! :) Anyways mommy and daddy will be driving down to SG tomorrow and should be staying until Sunday so I can spend more time with them when I book out on Friday. This would probably be the last weekend that I can spend with them until I finish army, since they probably won't be able to come back so often after the restaurant is opened. It's okay though I understand where they are coming from, but deep down inside I really wish that they can attend my graduation parade when I ORD at least to see what have I archived in Army in this 2 years. Maybe I'm slowly growing up or I have changed for the better since I got to Singapore but to me now family is the most important ever, I can't wait to go back to the states and be the son that I never was for my parents. I love my parents so much seriously. I couldn't ask for anyone better I think. My mom told mw something that really got to me, basically she told me that family is very important, we should always help each other out no matter what, love and take care of each other, who knows maybe next life we have the privilege of being a family again." Fucking hell almost made me wanna tear up after hearing that! HAHA. Well booking in soon now! Rotation 3 officially starts tomorrow. Turning my soldier mode back on, but at the same time looking forward for the weekend to spend time with my parents! Ciaos.

Its been a low key week, no party, no alcohol weekend, in other word means save more money :) Last Monday we had our so called "16km" road march, which was really about 20km to think about it, seriously walk until falling asleep. Wednesday went for nights out as usual chill at Starbucks with my Five-Four Alpha and Hong Kuang! Oh yeah, as of 16th October, I got promoted to Corporal with 9 others in my platoon! Woo-hoo! Extra $50 for more responsibilities and doing more shit job. Next up aiming for CFC (Corporal First Class). This weekend was a damn low key weekend, didn't really go out much due to 24 hour sentry duty on Friday which dragged until Saturday morning. After guard duty on Saturday we went to eat Delifrance for breakfast with Alex & Daryl then walk around Tampines after since Daryl wanted to get PS3. After walking around for about 4-5 hours we got damn tired and all went home to get some rest. In the evening after I woke up, met up with Daryl at Sengkang for dinner then just chilled at his house with his $400 TED for the rest of the night haha. Woke up the morning first thing I did was go to Golden Mile to buy my coach ticket to KL next Thursday since everywhere is sold  out due to the public holiday coming up next Friday, then rushed to Skype my mom, had a good chit chat with her, she's flying back tomorrow with daddy and should reach KL by Tuesday. Hope they have a safe flight and see them on Thursday! Hopefully everything is as planned, book out on Wednesday night and spend the weekend with the family! Gonna grab dinner then book in soon, roger out!

October 14th, 2012 "In A Blink Of An Eye.. "

Another week has passed, to think about it in a blink of an eye, I've in in Singapore for about 2 and a half years already, 10 months 24 more days til ORD! Starting to think more of what to do after army now. Well anyways I have to say I'm quite happy with how my life is right now, enjoying my weekdays with bunk mates, weekends with my friends. On Thursday was Guards Day and I represented 3 Guards for the Casevac Relay Race, should of won gold seriously, but the last man in my relay team fell towards the finish line and ADF caught up.. Oh wells shit happens, we can't really blame anyone, but we still manage to get the silver medal even though we never practice and prepare for the race at all. After Guardsday, CO gave us half day off and we booked out on a Thursday, went home and rest all the way. Friday went to Phuture with the boys, Jon, Zef, Rave, Yao Jun, Sin and Linus, before the club we went to eat Boon Tong Kee at River Valley Rd, like a not bad seriously, the meat was cooked perfectly. On Saturday, went to meet Keith my cousin at Bugis area, then we went to Kallang to grab some beer and chat, then decided to go to club again, so we headed down to Tiong Bahru, ate a quick dinner at Ajisen, saw my old co workers Jason, Alvin, Fatt and Lily, totally brings back memories of the days of cooking ramen. After dinner, we headed down to Zouk, then ran into Wei Yi & Tannie when I was waiting for the boys to come so they end up joining our group also. The music on Saturday was much better than Friday, some more got Guest DJ from Sweden, "Rebecca & Fiona"! They really made the crowd damn high, everyone was jumping up and down all night. It was a good weekend indeed. It's Sunday now, means book in day, slept in quite late today, didn't get a chance to Skype mommy since her Skype never appeared online but still went to the family house and spend some time with the fambam. Gonna go get ready to book in now! Ciaos.
